The Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life ended on 14th September in Toronto: this annual charity walk on behalf of AIDS research crosses the whole of Canada, and Santa Margherita once again played a leading role – as a Platinum Sponsor - in the event’s success.
This is a substantial commitment that our Company renewed for the second consecutive year, in close cooperation with the Vintages department of the LCBO - the Liquor Control Board of Ontario - the government Monopoly that controls the importation and distribution of alcoholic beverages in the Province.
With the aim of increasing funds for medical research, Santa Margherita donates 50 Canadian cents to the Canadian AIDS Society for every bottle of Pinot Grigio and Prosecco sold in Ontario in the weeks immediately preceding the walk.
A special party was held to celebrate the event. This was organized by the Veneto-based wine company and was attended by the directors of the Canadian AIDS Society and of the LCBO, by the owners and Board of Santa Margherita S.p.A., by representatives of Schiralli Agencies (the Company’s agent in Ontario) and by some of the top Italian restaurateurs in Canada.
Santa Margherita continues to reinforce its presence in the North American markets and once again confirms itself at the forefront both in representing top-quality Italian wine and in its support, as a sponsor and testimonial, of this fundraising operation on behalf of charities dealing with AIDS research.
